I haven't tried transfering thru mp3 file manager version 2.0 yet. Everytime I tried to install that program it is always telling me that no portable audio was found eventhough my HD3 is connected in the usb port. It won't fully install because it cannot detect my hd3 that's why I haven't tried transferring using that program. I'll try a screen capture using sonicstage though.

megumi,

Welcome To "AtracLife"

Have you tried to transfer mp3 through Mp3 file manager ver2.0?

Can you give us a screen capture when it asks you to convert it .

Tried it using sonicstage 3.3 and it is still doing the same thing. Stuge, do you happen to have or know where i can find an HD3 original firmware or a copy of the mp3fm folder in the network walkman itself?

This what I was afraid of ..That there some problem in HD3 Firmware .You will not find Firmware of HD3 anywhere .I will advice you take your Network walkman to nearest Sony service Centre .They will again reflash the firmware of HD3.

wait what is your tranfer mode setting?

It should be "Strandard Tranfer Mode"

I have a nwe-99 and i installed mp3 file manager version 1.2 in there. It worked perfectly. I copied the mp3 file manager 1.2 folder from my nwe-99 and put it on my nw-hd3. The mp3 transferred ok but I can't find it in groups or albums. Stuge, is it possible if you can give me a copy of mp3 file manager version 2.0 from your nw-hd3 player itself. A copy of the mp3fm folder in the atrac player itself. I want to try if its gonna work on mine. Thanks.

First Extract the Zip using Extracter like Winzip or WinRar or Power Zip .then copy paste the the folder "MP3FM" to your HD3..

I`m not sure it will work..

Yeah it didn't work. It is saying CANNOT SELECT DRIV with an OK button then it will show up mp3filemanager with the content of my hd3. Upon dragging and dropping an mp3 file in there it will say PREPARING FOR TRANSFER then another dialog box would show up saying TRANSFER INTERRUPTED. SOME TRACKS MAY HAVE NOT BEEN TRANSFERRED. It is just sad that I cannot take advantage of the native mp3 feature of this device. I called sony repair center today here in toronto but they are clueless on what a firmware upgrade is. I guess they don't it here. Thanks Stuge for all your help.
