slinger2k
I might be in the wrong forum...please bear with me. I sold my MD (Sony MZ-R500) to a friend. He has two others and likes to record from satellite radio. He has tried recording using an analog cable and the manual recording mode, but the resulting sound levels are ridiculously low (I guess not enough signal production?). Anything he can do to fix before he returns it to me?
dex Otaku
If he's recording from the headphone output of the radio, turn up the volume so it shows properly on the recorder's meters. If the line-output of the radio varies with the volume control, do the same thing. You can also try switching the recorder to manual levels and turning them up. I would suggest trying to turn up what's coming into the recorder first, though [i.e. the above two suggestions].
KrazyIvan
Also, if it is the headphone output, flatten the EQ if any or turn off any base boost.
