ozpeter
dex, can I make a suggestion re your excellent new thread about bugfixes/feature requests needed in 3.4? Perhaps if you made it a read-only thread for most, have members requests discussed in another thread, and then kept the original thread up to date and coherent yourself as a result of those discussions, it would make it more likely for Sony to actually read it? As I read through it myself I came across a number of issues listed in the first post which I was thinking "but that feature is already in there" in relation to upload file naming - later on you acknowledge that, but maybe it would be worth amending the first post to reflect your later thoughts?A bugfix I would like to see is that uploading dates incorporated into filename should reflect the system date, whereas at present I'm getting years ranging across a couple of centuries! But I'm reluctant to add that to the main thread as perhaps it's a local issue of some kind, and the main thread should perhaps not get clagged up with a discussion about whether a particular bug does or does not exist.Just a thought... don't get me wrong, it's a great start there! There is a good reason for this, but I'd rather not go into it.A bugfix I would like to see is that uploading dates incorporated into filename should reflect the system date, whereas at present I'm getting years ranging across a couple of centuries! gizard
Hello, here is a bug found in SS 3.4:When I installed SS 3.4, I imported all my music files into the newly created library. Feeling a little empty since I always used Media Player, I decided to import several of my playlists from Media Player (ie. M3U playlists). After that was completed, whenever I search on any of the songs in these playlists, I now see two entries identical. Delete the wrong one, and it also removes the entry from the respective playlist where the song existed. The tracks are likely duplicates due to importing an M3U playlist which contains a song(s) already in your library. If you happen to delete the "wrong" duplicate (ie. the one representing the song from the M3U playlist which was imported) suddenly the song is no longer in that playlist. To work around this, one could delete the original entry of the track/MP3 in the library, and that way there will onl;y be one instance of the track. Unfortunately there is no easy way (that I know of anyway) to identify the duplicates which are not representative of the playlist entries. I haven't even tested what happens if you import other M3U playlists which contain the same songs as contained in other imported playlists... but there is a good chance it might add yet another duplicate entry. This is something which developers should look at right away, as it will make for a messy library when users start importing their playlists.
