Naming Tracks with SS 3.4

Hello,

I have noticed that SS 3.4 puts the prefix "00x-" in front of all the tracks (sometimes only "00-") I transfer from HiMD to SS. I have noticed because of saving tracks in WAV format when transferring. SS 3.3 did not do this, does anyone know if there is any way to stop SS 3.4 from doing this?

I have already checked "Rename the corresponding music file when a track title is edited in My Library" in the Advanced Settings.

Thanks,

_Scott

I'm also having trouble with my new files. I have just processed my mp3 files into WAV format and would like to be able to include artist and album information for my files. Can't these be tagged by filename using some handy application other than MusicMatch? MusicMatch would rename batch quantities with ease, and maybe that will work for you, but the tags attatched aren't showing up in SonicStage, just the lengthy file name. Help? Internet connect and let it do 'lookups'??

Did you (or anyone) ever figure out how to transfer without the "00x" prefix appearing? I find this a pain and have been unable to get rid of it and return to my naming protocol of SS3.3.

Thanks.

I beleive this was inplemented because of problems people were experiencing whilst uploading tracks that they had not titled. If a track is uploaded without being titled, SonicStage will (depending on the unit) title the tracks as either the date/time of recording, or the date/time of uploading. If you had a series of tracks that were untitled and uploaded rather quickly, older versions of SonicStage wouldn't have these ordered correctly because the date/time stamp would be the same for each track. For example, if sonicstage uploaded more than one file in the same minute you would end up with a series of tracks titled "2006-07-03 22_39_16", "2006-07-03 22_39_16(01)", "2006-07-03 22_39_16(02)" these were automatically generated in such a way that when organized by track/file name, the actual first track would end up after the consecutive tracks uploaded after it during that same minute.

I assume that Sony recognized this and added the "00x-" prefix to enable the tracks to be ordered correctly once uploaded. I don't know of any way off-hand to disable this, though I will see what I can find.
