bogon07
I used to find Gracenote a bit problematic until I started making sure that my internet was up and running correctly before openning up SonicStage or ConnectPlayer and inserting a CD. Also it didn't seem to like trying to find CD info if the CD was playing. My observations, sorry that doesn't really answer your questions. dorothea
HelloI came on this forum to find an answer to that question do have you had any luck. I got an NW A-1000 3 weeks ago. Haven't had dreadful problems with Connect - just very slow but I have got 5 year old PC. But I have never suceeded in getting Gracenote to work. It won't let me register, I get teh "CDDB not found" screenI contacted Sony who sho sent me a link to a patch and suggested I disable my firewall!!! I did that just for the time it took to test Gracente - no joy. They now tell me to 'contact my PC manufacturer!Till then I had used Windows Media Player and it always got CD info. So have you got any more anweres?

johnnyq
Thanks, had connect on, found it slow, so was advised to change to SonicStage 3.3,so did, but found out that all the cool features on the unit don't work with Sonic Stage!! So have just gone back to Connect and. Think I#d rather have the cool features than the CDDB if that the case. It's all Sonys fault isn't it!!! johnnyq79
jof
hiUsing connect - don't want to use ss3.4 because as far as i cans ee, i will run into problems at some point...so can anyone help id why I am unable to use the gracenote service (usual errors, already listed above). If this is a connect player thing - I will just wait for the next update (as if that will cure the problem!)If it is something I can do locally - that would help my nerves !Jofski
Guest Stuge
I don`t use Connect since i don`t have A-series walkman but i can only suggest you try to reinstall (Also deleting registries ) & Install migfht Solve the Problem .OR Overwrite the last update by using manula installer .
