Undo erase in MZN-707

Hi,

A while back I accidentally erased a track using my MZN-707. I would like to know if there is a way to undo this delete.

I work in IT and many computers have software to return a deleted file. Actually when a file is deleted, it is only the file pointer removed when the file itself has given permission to be written over.

According to the MZN-707 manual at http://tinyurl.com/r42re on page 55, you can undo a track erase. However, I tried this and it didn't work. It also states that you can't undo this track erase. This seems contradictory.

Can anyone help me? Is there any feature in the software I can use?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Chris

If you remove all sources of power (AC & battery) before the TOC is re-written, then the track will not be erased.

Otherwise you will have to look into TOC cloning in order to get the track back. Basically this means you would have to get a MD with one track (the entire length of the disc) in the same format you originally recorded on, and trick an MD recorder into writing that TOC onto the disc that you erased your track from.
