RobA
I picked up one these for my father, early father's day gift. I'm pretty impressed, it has really nice build quaility (stronger than my 600D). It's very light and has incredible battery life (56hrs?! damn!). I got it for $20 shipped on ebay, came with headphones, sonicstage, and 2 discs, refurbished unit. The sound quality at LP4 sounds just as good as HiLP. This unit is well worth the price, I wasn't expecting anything this nice at that kind of price. The LCD shows everything you need, even though it's small.I'm know considering getting one for mother for her birthday in july off ebay. Maybe I'll get her a 420D though, so they can tell them apart. pata2001
Although $20 is a good price, IMO it's now worth it to get into legacy MD units now, especially if you are starting with HiMD units. LP4 is okay, but the quality of HiLP has been improved in SS3.4 that it is probably superior now compared to LP4. Still, for $20, why not. I own 2 HiMD units myself, the NetMD unit is for my father and he doesn't need HiMD functionality. Plus I'm cheap and didn't want to spend too much.
