dumb question: How do you turn the sony mz-n10 unit off?

As far as I know there is no "on-off" switch. You shouls just be able to press stop, and once the unit has realized that the nusic's over, it should shut itself off. My NH1 takes a few seconds dor all this to happen, same as the 707.

If it's still staying on thy taking the battery and dic out for aboua minute or so, then see what happens.

Bob is correct, but of course the N10's battery is built-in and cannot be easily removed.

However there is a "Built-In Battery On/Off" switch on the back which prevents the unit from doing anything (responding to button presses, etc).

Ordinarily, once the "stop" button is pressed the unit goes "dormant" after about 20 seconds.
