Sony India Now planning to sell NW-E507 .

Today I saw something strange on Sony India site That instead of lauching new A600series here they are planning to sell E507 .Big amusment to me .After The release of I-pod Nano priced at about Rs19000(4Gb) & About Rs16000(2Gb) Sony in frustration now planning to launch NW-E507(Gold Edition).I don`t understand how this 1Gb is going to compete with 2gb & 4Gb.Also E505 & E503 are now cheaper by about Rs4000..

So I will sell my E505 now buy E507(Kidding).Also they have launched E307 & E305.

The unpleasant side of Sony's regionalisation of products strikes again. This allows Sony to off-load old players into regions where the releases of newer models lag behind their so called major markets.

Looks like India is only getting the Gold one too.

One of my friends in Delhi was exicted to See the gold colour E507 on website .But Bogon07 If i remember correctly than i saw this Gold model also on Jap & Sony Uk website some months back .So i don`t think India is only one who is getting this l.

But i do agree that they are dumping their unsold models here (India ).

But i would definately like to see this model personally .

Sony has released the E507 in different colours for different regions.

In Australia we have it in Silver and Gold. (The real unit looks better than its photo) And like you no A600s yet or if ever.

Canada and US seem to be Silver only

UK has a variety of colours.

Audio Cubes in Blue, Pink and Grey(Silver)

Japan Tourist models Silver & Blue.

bogon07,You mean to say India is one of the lucky countries where Sony will be selling Gold Edition.

NW-E507also includes free bundle pack. Which contains Carrying case (different from the black one),Neck String & Retractable USB cable .(Sony Product Catalouge mentioned this )

Are they giving this bundel pack with E507 in other countries also ?

Yes, in India, UK & Australia as a regular purchase. I haven't looked at Sony China (as the site is really slow) but I think that gold would be a popular colour there if they have E507s.

I haven't see the bundle pack here in Australia but can vaguely remember seeing it mentioned just before Christmas in either the UK or US. Probably in some sort of SonyStyle limited offer.

The retractable USB cable sounds like a good idea along with the neckstring/lanyard.

I haven't looked at Sony China .

Today I looked at Sony China Site but since they have released 600 series with Around four colours (Not gold one ) .Also Countries like China or Malasiya is going to put every model in Sale because Many Sony models are assembled over there.
