unignal
Hi guys!I'm sick and tired of having to manually open and browse around my hi-MD everytime just to get to the directories where the photos or my portable programs are stored. The reading speed is very slow and makes everything a chore. So I came up with a program, TinyComp, that will allow you to create shortcuts, save notes on the fly, and will add itself into the Autoplay Option List (appears whenever you pop in a removable drive on Windows XP)I've created this program for my own use but I thought it would be nice to share with other Hi-MD users experiencing my frustrations. For those using DH10P, TinyComp will automatically display an additional shortcut to link to your photo folder. This program works with other removable drives as well.Details:TinyComp allows you to quickly access programs installed on your removable drive through shortcuts without the need to browse through the folders and directories to get to your program. With TinyComp, you can also take down notes into your removable drive on the fly without any need to run any other programs. If the removable drive is used in cameras, TinyComp will auto detect and provides you with a shortcut to quickly access the folder where the photos are stored. Generation and running of .bat files is also possible from within TinyComp for advanced users. To top it off, when you select the "Install on this drive" option, TinyComp will automatically generate an autorun.inf on the root directory of your removable drive. You can then run TinyComp convenient from the Windows XP Autoplay list the next time your plug your removable drive in.Simply copy and paste TinyComp.exe and tinycomp.ico into any removable drive, and run TinyComp.exe.Screenshothttp://weikiat.ikueb.com/files/shot.jpgProgramhttp://weikiat.ikueb.com/files/TinyComp.zipThanks for trying! unignal
when you install TinyComp on your thumb drive, this is what you will see whenever you plug that drive to any WinXP computers:http://weikiat.ikueb.com/files/shot2.jpgPress, ok, and the program will run.http://weikiat.ikueb.com/files/shot.jpgOn the menu on the right, you can quickly run any files or programs on your thumbdrive by clicking on the shortcuts, without having to manually browse through your thumbdrive to get to them.If the removable drive is actually a camera, there will be an additional menu "View Photos" where TinyComp will automatically launch the folder where all the photos are.
