Question

Hello,

I have a Sony mp3 player NW-E405 (firmware 2.0)

My system is an HP Pavilion t480.nl,

AMD Athlon 64, 2 GHz

512 MB DDR

USB 2.0

Windows XP Home Edition

I use SS 3.3

This is the story:

The device worked fine for about 7 months. Then first, SS3.0 did not detect my NW-E405 anymore, while Windows Explorer did.

Then I reinstalled SS3.0 without effect

Then I upgraded to SS3.3

Then SS3.3 detected the device but reported the error:

SonicStage (00000452-9094)

... you must delete all tracks in the ATRAC audio device or initialize the hard drive of the ATRAC audio device

Error 000066a3

Then I tried to use Controls - Device/Media/ but Initialize is grey and not active. I can only try to Delete All Tracks, but then I get error "Initialization failed", error 0000662e

Checking with Windows Explorer, the following is present on the NW-E405:

Folder OMGAUDIO, with files: 00GTRLST.DAT, 01TREE01.DAT, 02TREINF.DAT, 03GINF01.DAT, 04CNTINF.DAT (0 kB), 05CIDLST.DAT

thanks for any help. now I have delete the music from the device, I don't even know how to use it...
