What is ATRAC AD, written on the back of my HD5? Does it mean that it is capable of holding the ADvanced lossless standard compression files?
Sony claims these lossless have 80-20% compression of the original Audio-CD tracks without any loss of information. I've tried to convert CD-Tracks to Lossless format, but HD5 only took Atrac64Plus, but the quality of that Atrac64Plus is just great! A lot better than usual Atrac64Plus compression. Pretty strange...
