RJK
about 6 months ago i bought a MZ-NH600 (they were desperate to get rid of it and i wanted something to tide me over until i got something better) and it was working fine until a few weeks ago, i wanted to put new copies of my cd's on a couple of Hi-MD's. anyways i initialised the discs with sonicstage and put the new tracks on, but only the first 15 or 20 or so would play, so i initialized it again, put the same tracks on, did the same thing. i thought it might have been a faulty disc so i went and bought a couple more, but it did the same thing. then i tried initializing it with the player, which made it worse and corupted all the discs. i upgraded to sonicstage 3.4, but when i try initializing it it stops at 89% with 2 seconds to go and doesnt do anything, and when i try initializing with the player it just writes (i dont know what its doing but its sure not formating) until the battery runs out. when i hook it up to my PC it says its recording (at one stage it said it was recording when the player was OPEN) i called a sony dealer close to me and the minimum cost for repair is half of what i paid for the unit. anyway, if anybody knows anything, help would be appreciated
