OS: XP

Device: NW-E507; I forgot what version of SonicStage

Hello,

I purchased this mp3 player last month. I have contacted Sony about it, but I havent heard from them, and I was wondering if I could get some suggestions here sooner.

Normally, when I plug the USB to charge the player, it would say "USB" and SonicStage will automatically load. But when I do that now, the player would still say "USB" but SonicStage would not load, and after awhile, the USB on the player would disappear. Therefore, I'm unable to charge my player.

I have read some FAQ's about it, and I did try a couple of cables just to make sure its not a cable problem. I rebooted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled SonicStage, and neither solution fixed the problem. I checked "My Computer" after plugging in the USB, but it looks like my computer is unable to recognize it. I opened SonicStage and it says "Device not connected" even though it is.

I did buy the replacement warranty, but that would be my last resort.

I hope you guys could help.

Thanks.

artistic,

Welcome to "AtracLife"

In Sonic Stage ver 3.3 =>Tools =>Options=>General.

I n General you will find "Run Sonic Stage available ....Atrac Audio device when connected ".I think this option is unchecked accidently because of that Soni cStage doesn`t opens automatically when you connect your Device .

But Since you are unable to Charge your PLayer also ,Right .

So I think there some problem wiht Windows Xp it self.So I wil suggest you to Restore your windows again using "System Restore "When you were not having this problem .
