Problems Downloading from MZ-R410

I bought a mz-r410 a while ago but then realised it did not have a usb port. so i purchased cav-u5 digital converter. the problem is i cannot seem to download to my md. do i need another software? or do i need to use something else? help needed please

Welcome to MD land.

Your 410 is a very old straight real time recorder. It isn't net-md or anything, so you plug in your optical to optical if you have it, or your line in to an equivalent line out and record. You will only get 74 or 80 minutes.

It is probab;y a reasonable entry to MD, but you will suffer much less frustration by getting an NH700 or higher, or depending on finances, an RH1.

But if you just want to explore, get a 700

i use to have a md which was easy to use basicaly plug into the computer and download from sonicstage. im looking for something similiar

Again, I think the NH 7-- would suit you fine, lots of recording options, and Hi=MD as well.
