NokiaFanatic
Ok so im new here. I currently have a Sharp MD-MT15 that is no longer working. I also have a home base Sony I believe MDS-JE40 that has some problems, but works ok. And I also have about 48 mini-discs. Well I am looking to get another portable that is net-md compatible. Yes i have an iPod 60 gig, but i am looking to use the md for walking and mowing the grass and also Hard drive backups, but i have some questions if anyone can help me.1. Can I still use my blank media that i currently have to play my existing music which are: Memorex MD 74's2. Can I use these minidiscs also to record just straight uncompressed music from a net md player?3. Can i record and play COMPRESED music on these discs with a new player/recorder.4. Is the format mp3 for compressed? or can i make the mp3 format into the correct format? (IE have over 300 albums already stored s mp3 to my pc.)5. Can you have data and music on one disc?6. Is there anyway that once the net md player is hooked via usb to my pc, i can take the songs off the md's and transfer to the pc?If anyone can please help me answer these i would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all...
bobt
Your best bet is to go Hi-MD, the RH1 will do everything you want it to do, it will use MP3's natively, you can record/download PCM or different bitrates, you can use your regular discs as well as the HI-MD discs, as well as upload your legacy discs back to the puter, which you CANNOT do with Net-MD.Do yourself a really big favour and completely browse this forum in all categories, and approach it with an open mind. There is a wealth of knowledge and help here, but My siggestion is get an RH1, you won't regret it.Bob
