[MZ-710] Recover deleted tracks ?...

Hello,

Well, I think i've done what a newbie should never do : try to use something without having read documentation.

To summarize :

- I've a Sony MZ-710 (which is standard MD if I got it right)

- I have (well, haved) a minidisc with something like 12 tracks

- I downloaded SonicStage 3.x and installed it

- I tried an USB upload from the MD to the PC with Sonicstage (yes, I was naive...). It didn't work. I didn't check the state of the MD then...

- So I installed SonicStage 4.0 and tried to upload once again. And then, in SonicStage, I saw the tracks disappear from the right col.

Result : the upload didn't work, and when I try to play the disc (from the MZ-710), there's nothing (well, it looks like there's one empty track).

My questions are :

Are the tracks recoverable ? Can I solve this using TOC cloning or another hack ? If I can, is it possible without using a deck ?

I hope I'm in the right section of the forum.

Thanx in advances for your answers...

TOC cloning would probably work to recover the tracks. Though you would either need a deck or a modified unit to accomplish this.

For uploading of legacy tracks (SP/MONO/LP2/LP4) the MZ-RH1 is needed. This is the only unit that will upload these types of recordings from MD>PC.

(check your PM)

Thank you. I'm going to try to find a way to do that cloning.

For the "upload", I think I'll just go analogic next time. ;)
