tykel68
Hi, my work means i record live football matches onto my MD via an MZ-b100, i then have to chop up the recordings into smaller pieces for manipulation, using another older md player - MZR-50, this has a line out socket that works with my imic software on my Apple - the mz-b100 does not have a line out so wont work with this software/ hardware.Anyways i accidently recorded a match on Long Play and the older MD player with line out socket does not support Long play and therefore i need to find an MD player with line out and that supports long play. Any recommendations, old or new is fine. i've spent all afternoon looking. Many thanks from the British Isles.
KJ_Palmer
Well, the MZ-RH1 is the latest MD unit with Line Out. Some Sony Centres in the UK may have stocks now. If you had a PC you could even upload your recordings superfast, I don't think it works with Macs though - maybe through a windows emulator?Other Line out units would be the Hi-MD units MZ-NH900, NH1, or the NetMD units MZ-N909, N1, R900. These can often be picked up on ebay for not very much. The equipment browser here should give you more inforasmtion: http://www.minidisc.org/equipment_browser.htmlAlternatively you could just turn the volume on your B100 to maximum and turn the sound settings off which would be quite a good approximation toi line out. jaylen
Other Line out units would be the Hi-MD units MZ-NH900, NH1, or the NetMD units MZ-N909, N1, R900.I don't know about the RH1, but from my understanding, those units don't have a true line-out like tykel68's R50 or the R30 do. The newer MD units have the headphone/line-out combo. Not sure if that will make a difference to you or not.
KJ_Palmer
Well, the RH1 only has the line out mode combined with the headphone/line out jack too. Frankly though for 'uploading' one LP2/4 recording from the radio all these units are a bit overkill - better just whack up the B100's volume and do it that way.:-) Edited September 2, 2006 by Borat
bobt
If you get the RH1 or any of the M series you can digitaly upload to macs (just the stuff you have recorded). Would be quicker than real time as wellHTHBob
