cmcorby
Hi,Has anyone been able to enable ClearType in SS 4.0? I used the procedure posted here on SS 3.4 without any problem, but when I updated to 4.0, SonicStage crashed. I tried it again after reinstalling, but no luck.Thanks--these forums are always so helpful.

You will just need to reapply the edit as outlined once again; employ "UltraEdit-32" to save time as discussed within its discussion thread. cmcorby
Thanks for the reply! It must be something on my end. I used the "Ultra-Edit" method (big timesaver!!), so I know it's not a typo, and I checked the files to make sure that the edits are correct...so I'm stumped, especially since I used the same process on 3.4 without trouble. At least I know now that it should work, so I'll keep trying. Thanks again! Ishiyoshi
Upon completion of your edit, do remember to delete "App.xml_" in "C:\Program Files\Sony\SonicStage\Data\XML" before running SonicStage CP 4.0. This step is crucial so that changes made to the XML files will be reflected accordingly. Good Luck.
cmcorby
Success!! Well, it turned out it was a capitalization issue. In my edits, I had paired <font> with </Font>. Capitalizing the first tag made it work. Thanks for the help and for posting the original procedure--it makes a huge readability difference on my system.
