This news was passed on to me by a contact at Sony.

Sony UK has set up a dedicated support line for Connect Player related problems. The number is 0800 169 5263 and is currently manned from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

All Sony dealers are being informed of this helpline by letter (in the post tonight) and the Sony UK website will be updated to include the hotline number.

A further update on the timeline for software updates and a clarification of the development tracks for both SonicStage and Sony Connect Player will be available soon.

This could be entertaining... My recent contacts with Sony UK, showed they knew vey little about Walkman NW-A series and Connct.

I can imagine the phone call now..

Me:"I'm having problems with Connect, It does not list my CD drives, so I cannot RIP music"

Sony: "Have you re-installed Connect?"

Me: "Yes lots of times"

Sony: "Have you installed the latest updates?"

Me: "Yes, I am not an idiot"

Sony: "Is you computer installed with a vendor supplied operating system"

Me: "No, I built it, and installed OEM Windows XP"

Sony: "I am sorry, we cannot help you, please buy a Vaio and see if that works"

Me: "I have a Vaio laptop, and Connect does not work on that either"

Me: "I also have numerous other problems, like it eating all my memory and taking 8 minutes to start"

Sony: "Errrrmmmm..."

phone goes dead, as if myseryiously the phone line gets dropped....

I think I will phone the hotline next week for laugh, see how I get on... Perhaps record it, and post it as a MP3!!!

Nice to see that Sony has opened a new entertaining hotline number for UK customers :mellow:

Now they want us to buy a Vaio for their Network walkmans.It will be better if they sell their walkmans only to those persons who have Vaio .
