badgerballs
Yo folks, new to this forum. The story goes like this.A few years ago I bought a NetMD MZ-N910 and top Sony ear buds, in fact upgraded from the original nz1(something like that). Fantastic piece of kit.I think I used the original NZ with Simple Burner. Wonderful... When I got the next version MZ-N910 great MP3 what more could you want. But for some reason I could not use Simple Burner.Anyway I started using Sonic Stage and got so p$%*&^D off with it keep having go go through all the stupid rigmarole 3 copies blah blah blah that I decided to buy an IPOD Video 30gig.Great piece of gear but repro quality was nowhere near the MZ. So about a week ago I got caught out in the rain and the IPOQ drowned literally in my pocket would you believe. Although it is still under warranty I have heard horror stories of people being asked to pay £100+ for water damage repairs from Apple. (surprise I think not).So I decided to rake out my virtually unused MZ. Now my main machine has a RAID MB system running under XP Pro SP2. I didn't figure this would cause any problem.I then istalled the latest MD Simple Burner 2.0.05.25150 from a local link, and all it does is bomb out with a fatal error. I have not installed any of the other Sony Software.Any ideas what the problem is here. What is the best advice here as I have downloaded Sonic Stage 4.0 fro the Sony site and a PA_Driver.exe.Is the Sony software still a load of KAK?Nothing istalled as yet and uninstalled the MD Simple Burner.Help....... Ishiyoshi
Welcome to MDCF!Please note that you will need SonicStage installed to utilize MD Simple Burner as the latter is dependent upon OpenMG Secure Module (which comes together with SonicStage). Thus, the fatal error you’ve outlined above. You should not encounter any problems with the latest SonicStage CP 4.0 since your system is pretty much up to date. However, please do take note of other conflicting variables outlined within our Software FAQ. (e.g. codec packs and etc) Good luck and report back should you encounter any problems. Thus, the fatal error you’ve outlined above.Yes, you cannot install the stand-alone downloadable Simple Burner because it's missing the Open MG software. You need to download the whole SonicStage archive. However, during the Sonic Stage installation, you have the option to ONLY install the Simple Burner software (which will then be installed with the proper OpenMG software).
