pusrob
Hello.I'm just asking: are there any non portable MD players? You know, that desk minidisc player types. It would be great, if there were any, becouse then I would have a more complete home made hifi system. I already have an LP player, a very old tape recorder (you know, where you don't use cassettes, but reels, it was common in the '70s) and a home made amplifier. My amplifier supports 3 external devices, but the tape recorder doesn't need it (has internal amp.), so the MD player would look great there. The 3rd device is my computer, so all "in" would be used this way. Any ideas, comments, critics? Thanks for reading.
raintheory
There are plenty of decks and bookshelf systems: http://www.minidisc.org/equipment_browser.htmlIf you're looking for something Hi-MD you may have trouble, but for the standard MD there are quite a few. I've owned 3 myself (2 pro decks and 1 home deck).I for one and familiar with reel to reel as well. pusrob
Thanks. I'm not looking for Hi-MD decks, becouse I do not have a Hi-MD player, just a Net-MD one (MZ-N510, as you can see on the pictire , more than 2 years old, haha). And which one do you recommend for me? Need for common use only, don't have too much money for that. Thanks again. Edited November 8, 2006 by Robert P.
raintheory
I owned the JE470 and found it perfect for home/casual use. I eventually sold it off because at the time I had a total of 3 decks and wasn't using it too much. Basically any of the decks that are MDLP compatible would work fine for you. Unfortunately I'm unsure if they are still manufacturing any of these, so you may need to find a used one.I got my JE470 originally off of eBay for less than $80 USD.
