Uploading - what cable to use and where to connect

I am totally new to uploading - have been recording so have lots of material to upload - but new to it. So, I basically need to know where to start.

I read the "essential uploading guide" here, but it says to use a USB cable. I went to radio shack and they were like, "Huh?" when I mentioned a USB cable with an .8" input on the other end.

Will a regular audio cable work? If not, where would I find such a USB cable?

I've downloaded SonicStage 4.0, but any other tips for starting an upload would be of help.

Thanks!

The small end of the USB cable is a standard "5-Pin Mini B" plug. Common for use on digital cameras and other devices.

Plug the small end into your Hi-MD and the standard USB into your PC. The device should show up in SonicStage and allow you to transfer with ease.

that did the trick :ok:

the battery pack was blocking the USB port, so I couldn't even see that there was a place for the small end of the cable. Camera cable worked fine. Sonicstage took it from there. Very easy after that first step. Thanks!!!!!
