Number Four
Hello all, I was just wondering if anyone here at the forums knew anything about purchasing an extra/additional battery pack for an md unit. I bought a used MZ-N1 (Japanese market) recorder, and to my displeasure, came with no battery pack. Any thoughts?-EdP.S. This is my first post, so if I have committed any newbie faux pas, please forgive me.
Number Four
Oh, and if this clears anything up, I mean the black "dry battery case" that requires an AA battery that plugs into the bottom of the unit.
Ishiyoshi
Where are you located? In any event, you have a few options: Order the part direct (MZ-N1 Battery Case's part number: 1-251-895-11) from your local Sony Parts & Accessories Center. For your convenience, I have created a directory for your reference – click here eBay --> this particular listing. If I remember correctly, the NF810's external AA battery case is compatible with the N1. from one of our friendly memberGood luck with your search. Number Four
Thank you kindly for the reply and the info. I am located near Chicago, Illinois in the United States. I think that either the ebay store or the Sony supply store will be quite helpful. Just one more question: while I doubt this is a legitimate concern, I am curious if my Japanese MZ-N1 will experience any power problems with an US dry battery case. Thanks again for the help. It just goes to show that one of the best things about being an MD owner is meeting other people who share the same interest.
Ishiyoshi
Just one more question: while I doubt this is a legitimate concern, I am curious if my Japanese MZ-N1 will experience any power problems with an US dry battery case. All regional version of MZ-N1 employs the same external AA battery case. Hence, you will not experience any technical issue.

Number Four
I just received my dry battery pack and it works great with the N1. Thanks for the help!!! I would have never have found out how to find a solution without it.
