stevelt
Hi all,I'm having a nightmare with Sonicstage, attempting to import a large number of mp3 files, it just refuses to read any ID3 info, hence I just end up with '000s of files with nothing but filename, hence it's impossible to organise by album, artist etc.Are there any tips to get this working? I'm much rather not have to faff with this terrible software any more, but I have a NW-HD1 (nice hardware, why cripple it with such truly awful software sony, why!). Basically I'm stuck with it as a means to get music onto the player in atrac format until I can afford to upgrade to some other player.Additional info - the files were all created using LAME encoder (on Linux, the files in question are being imported via a mapped network drive from my Linux file server), and I've tried initially with ID3v1.1, then I tried converting all of the ID3tags to V2.0 - no difference again!ITunes reads all of the files fine, so I'm stumped - any suggestions would be much appreciated, I've pretty much run out of ideas now. stevelt
This turned out to be a bug in Sonicstage 4.0, vesion 4.2 appears to read ID3 files correctly
