A440
Santa Claus left a copy of the full installation disc for the MZ-RH1 version of SonicStage 3.4 here. http://s15.quicksharing.com/v/8783199/SS3.4RH1.iso.htmlIt is an ISO disc image, so you would need Nero or another program to burn an installation CD. It is 244MB, a big download. It will upload SP, LP2 and LP4 files but ONLY from the MZ-RH1. It will not do that with other hardware. Meanwhile, Sony's former full online installer for 4.0 is here:http://s23.quicksharing.com/v/9374647/Soni...200_UN.exe.htmlMDCF's old full 3.4 installer is here until Kurisu gets it back into Downloads.http://www.savefile.com/files/194995MDCF has nothing to do with posting these versions. They just happen to be available online. Edited January 1, 2007 by A440
Christopher
I would rather that we host these files instead of some other source. The advertising revenue associated with the hosting of these files would benefit the forum, whereas having them hosted elsewhere doesn't really do anything for MDCF. I paid Daijoubu to make these installers. Are these the versions we released (judging by filesize, they seem to be)? If so, they need to be taken down immediately..I can then move forward and put them in the downloads section. Please respond ASAP.p.s. What's wrong with the SS4.0 installer we have hosted here? A440
p.s. What's wrong with the SS4.0 installer we have hosted here?Last upgrade I did was to the 3.4 that came with the RH1, so I have no comment on 4.0. I have complete trust in the MDCF installers. But everybody seems to want alternatives and old versions, especially people who were having trouble with ID3 tags and SS 4.x. There have been a number of posts here about people wanting to revert to 3.4, and some for whom reverting to 3.4 solved their problems. The 4.0 installer is one that was on Sony's FTP site for a while and the 3.4 RH1 installer is a disc image of the installation disc. I thought there was some problem about hosting Sony's own software on this site. 67 people have downloaded the 4.0 installer and 330 people have downloaded the 3.4 installer, so there is a demand for them. It's all good with me if the MDCF 3.4 installer is restored to Downloads instead. The quicksharing links don't have an easy way to take down the files, but if I can remember the password to close the savefiles sites I'll take down 3.2 through 3.4 there. Do you want to host the 244 MB .iso of the RH1 disc? Edited December 29, 2006 by A440
Christopher
I can't host that huge file, but we can do the previous installers. Once I get home (on vacation right now in Florida), I will upload the older installers and have you change the passwords accordingly. ozpeter
I downloaded 4.0 from this site (MDCF) recently when 4.2 threw up runtime errors, and it saved my life! - so thanks from me for that, while we're broadly on the topic. Bodger123
I’ am running an old 98 SE machine with SonicStage 3.4 (SS3.4) and Audio Magic. Great for controlling both my MZ-NH 600 and NWA 3000 Hard Disc (I like the best of both worlds) for on the move listing to my BLACK discs! SS3.4 was upgraded via dial-up and took hours. When my hard drive expired I need to update again as SonicStage 2.0 won't control the NWA. Tried Sony Direct and Sony shops for copy of SS3.4, no luck. Eventually one Sony shop gave me phone number of Seme Nedis. They assured that they had copy and would dispatch. On arrival SS 2.0. Give them their due they did refund money. Eventually found you excellent site and the link to SS3.4 full iso file. Moral of the story try surfing the net for your software needs. Thanks for keeping the older versions of SonicStage available not everyone wants the latest flashy software. If it an’t broke don’t fix it!!
