Hello everyone,

as I said, I got a problem with my Net-MD (Sony MZ-N510 TYPE S) recorder.

The other day I loaded some mp3s onto i via realplayer-plugin. 3 songs were recorded successfully, the fourth stopped at 100%

and the program froze. So did the recorder, it didn't display any particular info, just kept on working.

I had to stop the realplayer with the task manager and disconnected the recorder.

Still, it kept on working. After I took out the akku and left it alone for a while it still showed the same behavior.

It doesn't matter if I insert one of my old analog discs or one that was recorded digitally.

Both the realplayer(v10) and sonicstage(v4.2) don't seem to recognise the recorder as connected when I plug it in.

It doesn't look like a dirty lens, I had problems with that before and cleaned it right away.

Regardless how long I let it read it just does read (I'm talking about hours), gets no information

about the disc whatsoever and doesn't display any errors.

I was not sure where to post this but I am afraid it is the software of the recorder that is the problem not the PC-software.

If somebody has any suggestions or knows how to help me (perhaps some kind of system-reset if there is something like that)

please answer.
