Hi Everybody ^^

The situation is that I have bought a mds s38 in second-hand market

for $150 HKD(around $20USD, really very cheap :give_heart: ) few months before.

At the beginning, the machine would turned on automatically and refused to eject the disc.

OK. I have found the solution to solve it. But the most hateful problem is that....

One day I have no choice but to record through Audigy 2 ZS analog-out, after i press STOP and EJECT,

I 'm used to re-insert the disc, then i saw the damn word "Blankdisc"!!! :girl_devil:

No matter I record through Optical or Analog, only a blank disc will be ejected.(But FUNCTION WELL on playing)

Is it caused by the aging of the optical head??How can I deal with it??

Regards.

Do a search on 'blankdisk' error and 'overwrite head' and you shall find tonnes of

info on that matter. As far as I remember, there may be an intermittent contact

problem with your overwrite head springy contacts or the OWH does not fully lower

all the way to the disc surface for some mechanical reason. This will cause no data

been written to the disc. With this failure mode while recording any disc content will

be erased without a chance of data recovery.

Cheers
