Problems with MZ-RH10, battery wont connect to give power

the usb and power adapter makes it work fine..the battery is fine...it just does not turn on when the battery is in...the same battery works in my mz-e90 just fine....so i am really mad becuase I bought this off ebay and seller did not mention this...is there something i can do besides trying to hunt down a dry battery case and keeping the player?

I thought my battery was crapping out, but it looks like I'm having the same problem. Any thoughts?
