Hi Folks,

Nice forum. I've been using MD's for around 8 years without problems, but i've having some trouble.

I've recently installed a Kenwood KMD-PS971R MD player in my car. I record tracks to MD from Open Jukebox to my Sony MZ-N505 NetMD portable recorder. However, when insert these discs into my Kenwood car unit, it reads the discs and starts playing but i get no audio. I have tried this on several discs with stereo, LP2 and LP4 formats but all do the same.

I thought the car unit ws faulty, but when inserting old discs which were recorded from CD to my Sony MDSJE480 Hi-Fi, the Kenwood plays the discs perfectly.

Is there any way of emulating this in Jukebox so i don't have to spend the rest of my life recording from CD just to get tunes in my car?

Cheers in advance for any help.

Well i didn't see what are the car player capabilities, but i have the hunch that it's an old one, hence it doesn't support LP playback (neither LP2 or LP4). So you should try to record them in SP. Btw, I'd rather use Sonicstage v4.2 (released on december) instead of that old OpenMG Jukebox. Audio encoding quality has been increased during all this time. And it's less hassle with all the anti-copy annoyances :)
