Selling NWA-3000

Question

I'm tired of wrestling with the NWA-3000 and it's software. I'm normally brand loyal to Sony and gave this one a good shot but... well, you all know the problems with it. Sure there's ways around them but I don't see why I should pay the best part of £200 only to have to fight a million and one problems myself in order for it to work well.

So I'm conisdering just selling it (had it 2 months, Comet probably won't take it back now) and going back to Ap**e (sorry!).

Where can I get the most money for it? They're going for around £120 on eBay atm, does anyone know if I could get better than this, online or otherwise?

By the way, if anyone's interested I'll throw in the official Sony case... ;-)

There is always ebay. The biggest selling point in ebay is a GOOD and HONEST DESCRIPTION in fine DETAIL, as well as a MULTITUDE of PHOTOS from ALL ANGLES. People go gaga for details because they know the seller is not hiding anything.

You mentioned it was locked with Sony Connect only. Are you saying Sony locked the A-series out of SonicStage 3.4? I wasn't aware of that.

It is better to sell it now on E-bay otherwise after sometime you might not get even 120pounds for that .I`m sure the cycle of this player is going to over in few months & we are going to see a new player .

Took it to Comet today, they're keeping hold of it for now and said they'll phone me tomorrow.

The woman said that there's a new update for Connect coming out in the next week or so (anyone know anything about this??) and that I should try this before getting it refunded/exchanged.

The UK has the Sales of Goods act which covers you under this situation.

Details are here: http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/facts/salegoodsact.htm

The key point is wether you returning it now would be within 'reasnoble time' of the purchase, as it is obvious that the NW-A3000 (wether by hardware or software) is not "fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality (i.e. not inherently faulty at the time of sale)"

I would try to return mine but as I dropped it they may not be so kind to me . .
