avialexa
I am a grad student who recently made Net MD recordings of birdsong for my thesis, but I need these files converted to digital for my new digital recorder/PC so I can make files to play back in the field. I have several minidiscs and various minidisc players and a digital recording device I just got. What is the best way to go about this? Help. MDfred1
......I need these files converted to digital for my new digital recorder/PC ............... Hi, aviavidlex, I asked the same question a month or so back; I am trying to find any answers that may have been posted, maybe the question was on the Software section of these boards. I tried using the sonic Stage software, to dnload files, digitally, from to the little blue MD, NZ-N707, no success! Two different supports in Sony told me it can't be done. What kind of dig rec'r do you have? I tried a little MicroTrack job, a little bigger than a cigarette pack, and it woulod go to 96,000 samples/sec., but I had trouble with it acting unreliable. The factory told me to dnload new software for it, and I did: it seemed to make it work, but now I don't trust it. I bought a /SONY PCM-1D in April, it is pretty fantastic, tho it broke me up in business (close to $2000!). Both these make WAV files, which is nice. Please let me know if you find an answer to this, Tnanks. -- MDfred1 , So. central Texas, USA.
