soul&folk
I just bought a mz-n707. I see that my old JVC CD deck has coaxial digital out. What do I need to do to send that to the optical in of the MD recorder? A certain cable? Some sort of converter? Will SCMS prevent me from doing this? KJ_Palmer
You'll need a device with a coaxial to optical converter, eg. this one: http://www.amazon.com/DAYTON-DAC-CO-COAXIA...R/dp/B0002MQGQI.The copying will still be subject to SCMS, and the source disc won't be digitally copyable if it is copy protected by SCMS. Most (or all?) CD-R copies made on PC's are free of SCMS though, and of course analogue copies are always available. There are also SCMS strippers available which usually have a built in coax-optical converter but these are very expensive.
