samat711
I lost the charging dock for my Sharp MD DR480 and can't seem to find a replacement . Can anyone think of a way to charge the battery without a dock or can anyone direct me to somewhere I can get another dock? I'm pretty sure MD DR7 and MD DR470 are the same. There may even be a newer model that has the same charging ability. Thanks
Ishiyoshi
If I remember correctly, the DR480 is Asia-Pacific's version of the DR7; simply re-badged for regional use. To expand your search for its charging dock, perhaps you could also search for parts under DR7. As for charging the NiMH battery, you can acquire a standalone NiMH battery charger such as Sony's BC-7HT or other NiMH charger conceived for similar task.*topic moved to MD, NetMD + MDLP section of the forum
abrahan
I've got a Sharp MD-DR480 and I charge it at work without a dock. I use a plug-in transformer that says SONY on it, I guess from an old cd player. You can use any transformer that 1) has 5 volt DC output, 2) has a center-positive connector, and 3) fits (i.e. plugs into) the bottom of the MD-DR480. Radio Shack should be able to sell you one.
