URGENT ASSISTANCE NEEDED

Hi,

I am new to Minidisc and I am writing on behalf off the Kingston Association for the Blind in the UK.

Last night was our AGM meeting with the Guest Speakers. We always record the evening so it can be edited and put out as part of the Talking Newspaper which is distributed each week to our Blind Members living in Kingston Upon Thames in Surrey, UK.

This was our first AGM at a new Location and we had horrific problems with the freshly installed Sound system including microphones and howl-round as well as Loudspeakers that worked and then stopped-working at random and a lot of hum plus a low signal feed from a mixer panel for our own Sony Minidisc Recorder.

The event was so frustrating and traumatic ( for those of us who were supposed to making a perfect recording of the evenings proceedings ) that at the end of the recording I literally switched off the mains power to the equipment ( which immediately caused a masssive feedback signal from the wiring to the amplifier which was located in a separate room - so I had to rush out and switch that off as well ) and our Sony recorder was then disconnected and taken back home.

When the owner tried the recording this morning he found that the disc was blank. It seems that in our frustrated condition and haste to pack up the equipment the Sony Recorder had not been switched of at it's front panel and so the Recording had not been finalised.

Is it at all possible to RECOVER the information which we hope is actually on the Minidisc - but is not accessible because it was not Finalised ????

Any Help or guidance on this matter is URGENTLY needed and would be very gratefully received - as we would like to include it in our Talking Newspaper.

Thankyou in advance,

John
