Fedelio
Hi,Some days ago I bought Sony NW-A608 player. Nice thing. But now I have 2 issues.1. Can't transfer music files using SonicStage 3.3. I read the forum - installed-reinstalled SonicStage several times, installed it on both XP SP1 & SP2.When I try to transfer any file (mp3, oma), it begins and then shows the message "Error report: Unable to transfer the track or tracks: [tracks names]". After that it says that there is enought free space on my player. When I try to erase the player content, it erases the content, but then displays the message "Initizalization of the media failed (Error code: 0000662e)".ConnectPlayer works "fine", but it's a very slow application and I don't like it.Please, help! I didn't sleep all the night and I don't know what to do now... ((2. Yesterday I've noticed that there is background noise in player's head-phones. I didn't notice it before. It looks like you're listening a tape recorder with an old loud speaker. When I set the volume to 0 I still hear the background noise. When I try to use another head-phones (standard big head-phones for my PC) it seems that the noise is gone. Can the problem be in new Sony's head-phones? Do I need to buy another ones?..Thank you very much.Fedelio

Fedelio
Stage, I don't know that I'm so stupid Of course you asked about Advanced menu in the player. But! I couldn't see such an option later! I tried all player's features, but I couldn't find (there were no these options!) "Advanced", "Cue/Rev", "USB", etc... Why? Why these options are available now? Fedelio
Stuge, I've formatted the player already. I don't know how I couldn't enter the menu before... It seems that it all work fine now. Thank you very much.Do you know where can I download a full manual for NW-A608?---What about the background noise in the player? Are standard Sony's head-phones good enough? Or is it the player's issue?---And the last question: is it true that a608 support USB 2.0? I don't think that my player is connected using USB 2.0, because transfer speed is very slow. I tried to copy files using Explorer and the speed was about 500-800 Kb/s. It's very slow. (the player is connected to USB root hub (without any additional hubs, directly to the PC) and USB is configured normally) Edited February 13, 2006 by Fedelio

As I said above, I hear it even when I set the volume to 0. I tried many different songs with good/bad quality - there is no difference. Besides, I don't hear the hiss on my PC.About USB. I'm working with PC very long time and know much about hardware/software, but as I said above my USB supports 2.0 (I use USB flash 2.0 drive). So, the problem isn't in USB adapter.
