Gatesby
Minidisc, it is a world full of confusing and puzzling for me as a newbie. Fortunately, after I came across a professional forum focuses on MiniDisc. There's so much information out there. I need some pertinent suggestion or advice! Ever the opposite criticize are welcome, because it would calm my head down and keep away from some unreasonable purchasing impulse. Here are four basic features I long for (star symbols importance and concerned degree).1- good performance of replaying frequently such as A-B rereading of one functions of MP3(★★★★★).I worried about some traditional mechanical setting could not competent for my tough usage (press play/stop/pause/fast forward/rewind button so frequent, maybe the gears of it have worn out but magnetic head still have utilization value). The classical cassette record subjected rejection as first of all. I don't know whether MD have such function of replaying between any two points of one song (or an audio section/pitch) not just as CD replaying a song thoroughly from beginning to end. 2- DC power input. A fixed power supply is favour(★★★★☆) not just only have rechargeable battery. Any fashion audio devices such as MP3, MP4 or even CD are designed for its portable convenience. The battery lasting is one of weakness to my requirement. The waiting for uncharged batteries is a painful thing.3- supporting record human voice from a microphone and been saved synchronal. (★★★★).4- supporting transfer audio files from CD to MD (★★★☆).After you have seen of above, you may have guessed what purpose of my intention of purchasing a MD.Yes! Language studying. Do any of the current models offer these features? Any info is appreciated. Thanks for your attention and suggestion. As I have announced before, please don't hesitate share with me if you found any better choice for my requirements than MD.
ZosoIV
The MZ-RH1 might just do the trick - though I currently don't have one to check if it does A/B playback. I would not recommend doing that on a player anyway, but rather, upload your recordings onto a computer and use software to play it back (which will allow you to go back and forth to your heart's content). Gatesby
RH1 has A/B repeat & speed control, so it should fit your needs pretty well for learning a foreign language. Mic, line, optical, USB2.0 inputs.Though I haven't checked if does the speed control on MP3; if you're not bothered, you can have converted to ATRAC, as that for sure does work.RH1 does PCM (1.4Mbps), Hi-SP (256kbps) Hi-LP (64kbps) in Hi-MD mode (& some extra ATRAC3+ bitrates & MP3 at variable bitrates when transferred from Sonicstage); SP (292kbps), LP2 (138kbps), LP4 (66kbps) in MD mode.I hope this helps. Thanks for your suggestion! But one wonderful thing is that just on this branch forum——Find Your Minidisc——the frequently recommanded type is MZ-RH1! Perhaps its my unbelieving minds make trouble. Hehe!
