Net Md - Hi MD

Hello

Sorry if this is answered somewhere else on this forum - I had a look but couldn't see the answer anywhere.

I am a researcher whose job involves making interviews with people. I have recorded interviews with my NET-MD player -Sony MZ-N10 which I would like to put on to computer. From what I understand from these forums it is impossible to do this. However, I understand that if I have an HiMD I can transfer FROM MD to PC. Is this correct? If so I will buy one.

Also, if I do get a HiMD player will I then be able to put discs recorded on my original NET-MD player into it to transfer onto the computer?

Thanks in advance for your help

Best wishes

Caroline

The only Hi-MD unit that will allow you to upload legacy MDs (i.e., those recordings made with your N10) is the MZ-RH1. While it will upload live/voice recordings made with a NetMD player, it will not let you upload anything you put on Net MD discs with a computer. It sounds like what you are trying to do here is upload interviews, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Fantastic - thanks for your help - it's really appreciated.

Just to be clear (before I buy one!) do all Hi-MD allow MD to PC transfer? (I realise my old recordings will need the MZ-RH1 to do this)

Thanks

Caroline
