doctorzylo
Hi, I'm new to the forum & need some direction. I recently recorded 70 min. of great live music on my MZ-R50. The next morning I listened to the first few songs & marked the tracks before turning the unit off (it went to TOC edit). When I restarted later in the day, I got a 'BLANK DISC' message. Is all hope lost? Thanks
raintheory
Welcome to the forums, The recordings can most likely be saved using "TOC Cloning" techniques. Be wary though, it sounds like your recording head may be going bad on the unit, and you may end up with other discs erased in this way...PM me if you want more info on TOC Cloning, I may be able to help you out. seagrace
I am new here, myself. I have a Sony MZ R-90 and a JVC XU-301 cd/md deck. (Long story, there.) Like so many others, I need to retrieve lost audio. I understand the concept of TOC Cloning, but I don't think either of my machines will let me do it. If not, is there anyone out there who can do it? I'm in a bind, needless to say.Thanks.Welcome to the forums, The recordings can most likely be saved using "TOC Cloning" techniques. kino170878
It's best to give the disc to professionals - either to some of the knowledgeable members here or to a company like this one in the UK http://www.esdl.co.uk/body/mdte/mdte.htmBelieve me, these are the only options if the disc is very important to you. I recently thought I had lost the entire contents of a flash card in my digital camera. By spending some money, a very reputable company was able to recover the contents.Edit - in order to prevent problems in the future, always make sure you give the unit a lot of time to write the TOC. To make sure, always eject the disc before switching off. Edited July 11, 2007 by kino170878
