andyschest
I had been planning my first recording for some time but was let down by a number of microphone sellers. I found myself the day before the concert with no mic. As a last resort, I bought a 19.99 tie-clip mic and headphone volume control from Maplin and vowed to do the best I could. I couldn't get any recording at all through the volume control, and I didn't have time to pursue this, so I ended up with mic going direct into mic-in on my NH700. Here's the result:Cheap Mic Recording - KPM AllstarsSure, it's somewhat distorted and not at all what I had hoped for when planning the recording, but it has quite a nice live feel and, with the recording level down a bit more, I probably could have got a worthwhile recording. I just thought I would post this in case anyone else finds themself in my position.
