Guest Kaidanovsky
Hi everyone,I have an MZ-RH10 and am getting a bit irritated with recording a record onto disc and then having to input the "Album" and "Artist" details for every track in the group. Is there any way to set it to name say all five tracks in a group at once as being by the same artist or from the same album, rather than having to continually write out all the names again for each track, which is time-consuming and dull, especially when recording "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" (luckily it has only four tracks. I do hope I've been missing a trick here...
raintheory
You can use SonicStage to input the titles/group names. Much easier than doing it on the unit,
Guest Kaidanovsky
Oh yes, but as I'm away from my computer for long lengths of time being in boarding school, I wondered whether there was a way of doing it outside SS.
alexis
I often proceed the following way:* input Artist/Album for first track of set to edit* move to next track mark (usually, just press "next" on your unit)* remove the track mark (just press "T.mark")* set the track mark again at the same position (immediately press "T.mark" again)* voilà... Album and Artist have been copied to the follwing track in just three clicks* then move to the next track mark and do it againThis process can be optimised further if you do it all in pause mode, that is, you start playing a track, set your player to pause, perform the editing while staying in paused mode, and then press "stop". The trick is, the System File will be written only once, when you stop the player, and not every time you press "T.mark", which saves a lot of time.
