Hi how is everyone, I hope anyone can help, I have a sharp md mt170. I am recording podcasts for my website. The recording on the mini disc sounds fine when i listen to it on my headphones. When i plug a lead from the headphone to the line in, of the computer the sounds is so quiet. Does anyone know why or what i could do to sort this out.

When my father transfered his old tapes to cd he used the same line with his personal stereo and it worked fine.

Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

Find the volume control utility on your computer. It's probably in the Entertainment or Systems Tools section under the Programs - Accessories menu if it's a Windows PC. You can control the line in level under volume control.

Also make sure the volume on your Sharp MD is turned up to maximum - this gives 'line level' output on the unit. Hope that helps
