MZ-M100 Killed my Fav Hi-MD

Here's the short saga:

I put in my favorite Hi-MD - 2 years in the making of best of the best music. I expected a long night of good tunes. The MZ-M100 briefly showed the "information" for the last MD I had in there - 1 week ago, and then said the disc I had was not playable or readable. Bottom Line = Dead Hi-MD disc, had to reformat.

Is this phenomenon common?

I have been with the MD since the days of the $500 bundle of the (Walkman and Deck) - 1990s...

If my discs start to get corrupted, Steve Jobs will have another iClone.

Did you try another disc, or reseting the unit, or seeing if SS would recognize the disc??

I always use reformatting as the last option, there are usually workarounds,

hope you can remake your disc
