boffel
I need to get some sound for a school project that I have to record myself before tomorrow. So I borrowed a MZ-RH910 from school, but it says it is no track, so I cant record. How do I make a new track? The disc is new (newer used before), so of course its no tracks on it. Also when I change to rec. mode, it says "no track", and cancel`s.Can someone help me plz? I need fast help, seriously! (And sry my English...) Avrin
Isn't the disc write protected? Check that the little door on the disc is closed. And isn't the disc already formatted in standard MD mode by any chance? In that case simply reformat it in Hi-MD mode using the unit. The MZ-RH910 should have no trouble recording to an empty disc, except in the two aforementioned cases.Well, there may be a third case. It is if you are not pressing the REC and PLAY buttons simultaneously. Press and hold the REC button, and then press the PLAY buton to start recording. Looks like this one is the most probable, because of the NO TRACK message. Is should say CANNOT RECORD and something else in the first two cases. Avrin
DO NOT switch to MD mode. Switch to Hi-MD mode, and then format the disc. What type of disc do you have? Also, check that the SYNС RECORD mode is set to Off. Edited September 26, 2007 by Avrin

I had it on md mode, so that was the problem...My problem now, is that I only can here the sound on one side when I play it, but I think that is the mic, because im using a singstar mic lol. Avrin
If it is a mono mic, then the sound will come out of the left channel only. And don't forget to choose Hi-SP for recording, or you'll only get 28 minutes of LPCM on a standard disc. Of course you can also use Hi-LP for recording, but quality will be quite low.
