Vista/ SS 4.3 /program stopped responding

Sonic Stage works fine on my XP machine, but both version 2.3 and 4.3 do not on Vista Home premium. 4.3 installs fine, but when loading the UI it says something like windows has encountered an unknown error and will not continue. Why such a general error? I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3-4 times. removed the registry information.

4.3 is the only version that's supposed to be Vista compatible. But other people have had this problem, with no resolution here from us amateurs.

You should raise the question with Sony.

This page includes a link to a Windows Vista Device Driver. I don't know if it's part of 4.3, or if Sony expects you to somehow discover by telepathy that you need it.
