hello everybody,

i've got an sharp md recorder and some days ago i wanted to use it after a pause about a month,

i've just turned it on (the md was already inside), but after a standard check, the recorder said,

it can't read the toc. i thought, maybe the md was bad, so i've used another one and another one,

the problem stays.

do i have a chance to get it running by my own, please tell me, what can be the metter for this problem?

thank you for attention

Try taking the battery out for a few minutes, and then see what happens. It could also be the head track needs lubrication, can you hear the head moving or the disc spinning. Info on the model of unit would be nice, as well, are you using the right disc??

Good luck

hello, thank you for support

at the beginn, it works normally, just after a check, when TOC reading were running it said "can't read a",

but everything others worked, i heared everything moving, head and so on...

now, few minutes ago, i followed advice to hit this recorder a little :/ now works nothing,

now recordes says: "Err-MD80" and nothing moves inside. i've opened it and i could see

the part with the laser head doesn't move, it stopped away from the right place, where it was everytime

i've opened it :/ so i helped with my finger to the right place, but the problem stay :/ hm well...
