Back in June, I put a new laser assembly in there and it seemed to be fine. I did not access the test mode then. The owner brought it back last week saying it was slow to read some discs. I looked in the service manual and decided to check out some settings in the test mode. That turned out to be a big mistake! I didn't realise at the time that there don't seem to be any default settings, and even though I thought I adjusted the three traverse settings to agree with the scope traces, now it won't work at all!Did I inadvertantly adjust something just by accessing the test mode? Is there any listing anywhere of default settings? This machine is driving me nuts!! And, it is apparently very difficult to find any one who knows these machines...
