merging two SS 3.4 collections

I keep most of my recordings (rehearsals, practices) in HiMD LP format and they are scattered across two computers, each running SonicStage 3.4

What is the most convenient way to merge two collections into a big collection please?

Use the File Conversion Tool on both of your libraries. Under Tools. Run it (it will close SonicStage), un-check Add Copy Protection. You can let it delete the OMG files.

Then you will have .oma files that will play anywhere and not be tied to any one computer. Burn them, copy them to a portable drive, etc.

But NEVER use the SonicStage Backup Tool. If you use it backup a library on one computer, and then restore it on another computer, the original library on the second computer will be completely erased. If you want to transfer files to another installation of SonicStage, follow the above advice from A440, then burn the files to a removable media (such as a DVD+RW), then insert this media to the second computer, and import the files. SonicStage will offer to copy them to its folder. If you use non-removable media (such as a HDD) to transfer files, don't forget to copy the files manually, and then import them into SoniStage.

In any case, I recommend upgrading to SonicStage 4.2 (but not 4.3).

Does anyone have a handy link for upgrading to SS 4.2 from 3.4 ? Hopefully I won't have to do the fancy steps when moving from 2.1 to 3.4 again.
