WES2201
Hi,For no apparent reason my Sony CMT-100MD stereo unit has decided to stop recording. I usually record from both my PC via a USB to Optical connection box using M-Crew software and via the stereo's internal CD player. Both these methods have now stopped working. When I record to a disc, it looks as though the recording process is working. The TOC display appears; the recording time shows and the audio playback can be heard. When I view the recorded information, it appears to be present and correct, however, upon playback, the timer doesn't count up and no audio plays back. If I then eject and re-insert the disc, I get the Blank Disk message....Not Good! I've tried several discs and get the same problem every time and now fear the worst! If anyone has any ideas on this, please suggest them, all ideas will be more than welcome.ThanksW
sector001
sounds like your optical recording head is fried...if it's still under warranty, send it back to Sony.
