sportster44ca
Hi All, New member here, but have had my Mz-N707 for at least 5 years. Finally it has decided to record only when it wants to.sounds like it might be time to upgrade. Problem is that I'm undecided between going Hi-MD or staying with MDLP.Looking for suggestions/advise and possible models to upgrade to.Don't want to go ipoo's as I believe in the MD format and it sounds fantastic. Thanks

bobt
on a budget, the NH700 will do you fine, try to stay away from the downloaders (D after the number eg 600D), If you are content not to have line in or mic recording, then the down loaders are fine, just makes sense to have more options. If you're willing to go a few steps forward, go for the RH1 or M200, thn you will be able to digitally upload your 707 discs,Have fun,Bob

Sony's website seems to be way too much money given the sheer convenience factor of HDD based players. What's your thoughts on a used MZNHF800? sector001
it's a good unit...i like the radio feature of that unit when i had it. another big plus of this unit is that is takes regular AA batteries, which u can pratically find any where.i don't see any NHF 800 units for sale other than maybe ebay. is that where u are getting it from? Wouldlike the RH-1 but at $400 CDN, it strikes me as too much money. Needs to bepriced more in line with the current HDD players.BTW did this unit have the same ribbon wire problems as the older MDLP units?
